What are the benefits of vegetative propagation?

Posted on April 8, 2026 By B&D

Vegetative propagation joins a selected stem piece onto an established rootstock where the attached part continues growth supported by a developed plant base. It aligns the cambium layers of the stem and rootstock where matching tissues fuse and allow water and nutrient movement into the attached piece. It forms a combined plant structure where the upper part retains its original characteristics while the root system supports steady and consistent growth.
